"Would you like some punk with your disco? Perhaps you would like some synth with your punk. Either way, Petty Morals just might be the group for you." --Kevin Finn, The Noise, Boston, MA.
"Born out of a shared love of synth-punk/dance rock (a shared love first realized while practicing for a Joan Jett cover band), Petty Morals was formed in December 2012. They love eyeliner, boxed wine and booty shakin'!"
released 26 August 2014
The Cherry Ice Pop EP was Produced by Paul “Galaxy” Gallo at Paulietone Studio in Billerica, MA, and mastered by Nick Zampiello and Rob Gonella at New Alliance East in Cambridge, MA, the EP showcases the band’s wide range of influences. “Girl Gotta Do” has a 60s garage pop girl group vibe, while “To The Edge” takes the booty shaking up a notch. “Shuddup” is the most harmony-laden song in the lineup and displays the group’s Go-Go’s influence fairly prominently, then “You Get Me Loose” jumps back into the dance hall to sweat it out some more. The EP ends nicely with a fabulous remix of “Girl Gotta Do” created by the talented Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East.
Petty Morals on the Cherry Ice Pop EP: Taiphoon on lead vocals, Hellion on backing vocals, Chrissy V on lead guitar, Ivahna Rock on bass, Lowreck on drums, and Naz and Allison Wonderland on synth.
